Planning a small visit to the super8 room at CU tomorrow to view archival super 8 films made by Jeff Finlin to see if there is a place in the film, which I hope there is. Working on finding out solutions to using more than one or two formats in editing as well. I know there are ways to work with that. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. Open minded to all suggestions!

  1. What format will you end the project in? If it's HD, there's a place called Pro8mm which will scan Super8 into HD.
If it's film, then I suggest using the optical printer in ATLAS to blow it up.

  2. Hi Nick! Well, I am definitely filming on 16mm, and am going to look tomorrow at some of the super 8 to see if there is anything of interest there. I hope I can run into you and find out more about the scanning into HD, cuz then that would make the decision about the digital being HD instead of SD. hmmmm. you around Atlas this week? Thursday maybe> will try to run into you.thanks for the suggestions!

    2. I have one class from 3-5. But if you want to talk between your class and mine, I'm sure we can get enough done. Did we ever exchange numbers? I have a Sally in my phone, but I'm not sure if it's you.
